Veteran's Credits
Qualifications for the Standard Veteran’s Credit of $150 under RSA 72:28
- A Permanent Application State Form PA-29 must be completed and filed with the Assessing Department after the December tax bill is received and no later than April 15th of the application year
- A New Hampshire resident for one year prior to April 1st of the application year
- Owner of, and residing, at the property on April 1st of the application year.
- The Tax Credit is applied to the tax bill for the ‘residential real estate’ owned and occupied by the Veteran or their Surviving Spouse who has not remarried
- Honorable Discharge from service
- Must be in armed service a minimum of 90 days active duty during the following dates: Dates & Qualified Medals Information
- Applicant must apply with a copy of DD214 or equivalent declaring proof of service
- If your property is held in a trust, you must supply a copy of the trust document and a ‘Statement of Qualification’ PA-33 form with the Assessing Department

Qualifications for the Service-Connected Total Disability Tax Credit of $700 under RSA 72:35
- Any person who has been honorably discharged or an officer honorably separated from the military service of the US and who has total and permanent service-connected disability; OR who is a double amputee or paraplegic because of service-connected injury; OR the surviving spouse of such a person
- A Permanent Application State Form PA-29 must be completed and filed with the Assessing Department after the December tax bill is received and no later than April 15th of the application year
- A New Hampshire resident for one year prior to April 1st of the application year
- Owner of, and residing, at the property on April 1st of the application year.
- Applicant must apply with a copy of DD214 or equivalent declaring proof of service. The VA Disability letter must have the statement "Are you considered to be totally and permanently disabled due to your service-connected disabilities: YES"
- Applicant must apply with a Certification from the US Department of Veteran's Affairs that the applicant is rated totally and permanently disabled from service connection.
- If you property is held in a trust, you must supply a copy of the trust document and a ‘Statement of Qualification’ PA-33 form with the Assessing Department
